Xenia Eradication

I fragged the xenia off my LR tonight. I was wondering if you had to get every last fiber off to keep it from growing back. There is a little left from the base will it grow back or do I need to do something much more drastic to remove it?

To complicate it more, last night my rather large LTA moves to the rock. It will be hard to get the rock out now. I may just chip the rock under the xenia remains to the the pieces off.

i use tweezers to get it. if you kindof scrap at one point and get it started, it should all come loose together.
