hey i just recently purchased a xenia polyp that are doing great but my clown had nocked it over off of a cliff in the tank. the xenia are opening and closing but really arent pulsing. are they okay?

if your wondering how they got pushed off a cliff there on a little rock cause i got them as a frag.

Yeah they are ok. You know sometimes they will pulse and sometimes they wont. And most of the time you cant really tell because of the current anyway. I can hardly ever tell when mine pulse unless i turn my powerheads off during feeding.

I got mine on a frag plug, and leaned it on a piece of liverock so the base of the Xenia was slightly pushed against the liverock, it spread right onto the liverock within a week. It was pretty fast. Good luck!

There OK hard to kill them.

They do better in higher light, so you may want to superglue the polyp to a rock near the top of the tank so it can't get knocked off again.

Just glue the whole little rock they are on to another rock in the tank.
