What kind is this?
I bought this (purple peace in center) yesterday at a pet store near Atlanta. It looked fine in the store, but it has not opened yet here in my tank. Is that normal?

Ok, I was worried there. Thanks for the reply!
Just starting my collection of corals. I really don't know what to expect of them.

Pretty soon they will be spreading Star polyps are a great coral to start with they are very easy to care for

It looks like zoanthids to me. If they get too upset they can take a week or two to get over it. Its hard to be sure though.....need a little bit closer pic

I know my polyps took 3 days to open. I was worried they died. Then one day they opened up and are growing like crazy.

Zoos or gsp's. Hard to tell without a size reference.

It takes a couple days to adjust to your tank.

Hey, I looked at your pictures. That is a great setup! How many of them are soft corals? Also what is that in picture 53? I seen something like that in my tank just after I got the new coral?
