Weird Mushrooms!! Do Yours Do This?


MOST OF THE TIME THERE ABOUT HALF OF THE size they are now.. i just got home and ive never seen them sooooooooooo huge!!!!!there flappn off the sides of the rocks there so big. i cant even see the rock..i didnt change anything in my tank..water or lighting schedule.hmmmmm.. heres some pics of the different shrooms i have..can you name them?

I don't think its anything to worry about. About 1hr after the MH lights come on mine get huge!!! All of them have at least doubled in size since getting them about 1.5 months ago.

i just noticed all things in my tank are huge!!!,lol..leathers,bubble coral,rittiri anamone... ...why not every day,lol

Mine do that all day and then shrink back up at night. Keep in mind they have a nasty sting so make sure they don't flop open into any other corals.

That is normal for shrooms to act different each day I have some in my nano that are some days about 6" across and some days about 4" and others about 2"

low to NO current usually makes them larger..they hate current..good lighting combined with no current on a good day & they will triple there normal size.

nice shrooms everyone ..does your rics spread much? i had an orange ricorida for about 3 months and it didnt produce any lil ones ..i had a hermit knock it over and it landed upside down and died..im deff going to get some new ones..i like all the colors some of them have in them

my rics are not super fast reproducers, but they are dropping or splitting (without my help) pretty fast now that they are back in my 125 with the halides.
