So how big will these things get? The one I have right now is about 15" tall and 10 to 12" across.

Wish I could remember how long ago I bought it. It was half this size then. It's been at least a year.

as long as you do your normal stuff to the tank. it shoudl keep growing and as spend out spurs to start new
