Speaking of leathers 101!

I can keep my corals pretty healthy....except my leathers. I have tried 2 different ones and they both kind of "disintegrate". I am desperately trying to save this second one with not much luck. I moved into the flow more but at this point it seems so fragile, it is tearing away from the base. Any suggestions?

what are your water params? Are your keeping the pH up? What about supplemental Calcium?

if you can shed lighton those that will help.
also are you running carbon?
Leathers tend to get a bit pissed off if there is a swing in the SG or PH levels.
do you have a lot of evap.?
