'Shroom question.

I have a (about 4" ) purple 'shroom that has extended its base stalk about
4" high. It's surrounded by smaller ones and sits just below a rock full of ricordea.
It has risen far enough to touch the ricordea and they have retracted on that side.

What's the deal ?

All coral compete for "real estate" in tanks and in the wild. I would move one or the other a safe distance away from each other.

+1 it is competing for light w/ its brothers and apparently has a stronger chemical or sting than the rics do. Maybe it's time to pluck him and frag em or move the rocks

Did I ever tell you about the time Brasky went hunting? Well anyway, Brasky decides he's gonna hunt down all four members of the Banana Splits. He stalks and kills every one of them with a machete. They all beg for their lives, except Fleagul.

It seems to have found a place more to its liking.
