Ricordea advice needed.

I've ordered 3 florida rics but would appreciate some advice on placement in the tank.My other mushrooms are on the bottom.Do these need brighter lighting?
My tank is 15 inches deep,from surface to sand,and lit by 4 X 39W T5s.

they should be OK where ever you want them. they are a little more sensitive than regular shrooms, so acclimate them from the bottom to where ever you want them to stay. some of mine like direct MH lighting, and some dont so keep an eye on them when you get them placed in the final spot. if they dont like it then move them to a spot with a little less lighting (lower), and see how they respond. you will be able to tell if they are not happy.

Thanks Reef Keeper.
I've placed them 1/2 way down. They are expanding under the light and seem happy so i may leave them there.

That's a lot of light for such a shallow tank. Ricordea like more light than regular mushrooms and also tolerate more flow too. I have 3 39 watt T5HO over a 30 gallon tank and it bleaches acropora if I'm not careful. What kind of corals do you keep in your tank? What are your tank specs? Got any pics?

I agree it is pretty bright but things seem to do well and increase in numbers.
The lights are two 39W, 14k whites, and two 39W, 10k actinics.I only grow softies which do fine from the bottom up to the top.The rics are around the middle but my other mushies are on the bottom.
