Problem with Moon Polyps...

My first time hitting this Forum. Hopfully you folks can offer an opinion.

I have a large, established Reef tank (250G). I have a number of different soft corals (PC lights), no hard coral. I have a few colonies of smaller button polyps - all of which have been doing fine for a long time.

My issue: A week ago I put in a 4" diameter colony of larger moon polyps. They looked good for a couple days, and then they started to deteriorate. They have been closed up for the past 4-5 days, never opening, and now they're shrinking. I moved then two days ago to a place higher up in the tank (closer to the light source), but this hasn't helped any.

I could get into the specifics of my water, but suffice to say everything is stable and I would assume my best indicator is that the other polyps and corals are doing just fine.

Any thoughts, or do you need more info? I supposed I could include a photo if that would help.

Thanks in advance for your expert opinions....

Power Compacts, medium flow. Sitting basically right under the return.

Move them to a lower flow area as this may allow them to open up. They don't really care for a lot of flow. They will do fine in a low to medium flow, just not a harsh dumping or blast of the return.

Right next to the return and it dumping on them may be to much for them!
