im not sure what kind it is?.i picked it up for $25.its about 5 inch by 4 inch.i was wondering were would it be better placed in my tank?..i heard the sand bed was the best, but my sand bed is a lil crowed with other corals..i have it in the mid-top of my tank under a 400w mh?..any other info on this coral will be helpful..thank you

Generally brains to prefer to be in the sand they also don't require much light. Mine did poorly until I placed them low and shaded them a bit.
Every coral can be different so just keep an eye on it and move it if it seems unhappy
