Newbie Leather Question

Hi folks. I'm a newbie that's been surfing the forums for a while. Great info. I've come up with a question about a devils hand leather coral. I've noticed what looks like light blue trails across the surface of the coral. It's almost like something (like a small snail) has crawled across it. But the trails seem to appear and dissapear randomly. It's in a fairly high spot that also has about the highest flow in the tank. I've only had this guy about a week. I can't really get a picture that shows what I'm talking about. Sorry. I have a 65 gallon tank (fairly new) and everything else seems fine. Assorted crabs and snails, 1 yellow tang, 1 lawnmower belnny, several other corals all seem healthy and happy. Thanks for any help you may be able offer.

Cant answer the question but welcome to TRT! Might try using a red penlight at night and see if you see anything crawling on it tho.

Thanks. After reading several other postings about leathers, I started to look at my water. It was a little lower than I like so the sg was a bit higher than normal. I added some water and the blue streaks seem to have gone away. Did not have much opportunity to observe yesterday but when I did, everything looked great. I think it may just be telling me to pay attention. Everything else in the tank still looks great.

the leathers as a whole are great tellers for us..
