Need a good low tech coral

I have a 6g eclipse and got the best bulb i could find for it it is a T5 8 watt 8,000K bulb and was wondering what some good hardy soft corals

i was thinking maybe some mushrooms, zoas, leathers, or maybe some xenia

Don't know about leathers, never had them. The others will do ok for that setup. The 8K is a little on the low side but what you have chosen is pretty forgiving corals.

thanks for the quick reply and i wish it was a 10,000K bulb but after i bought this bulb i did some research and it turns out the only 12" bulb that is sold is an 8,000K but i am planning on upgrading the tank to an aquapod 24 that my LFS will be getting tomorrow i just have to be the first person there before somebody else gets it cause he will be selling it for $150 used

it is this aquapod with the pc lighting again i know not top of the line lighting but better than what is in my 6

Get the AquaPod24 and don't mess with the 6 gallon tank. Keep it handy as a QT tank but don't use it as a display.

You can always look into upgrading the lighting on the 24 and its going to be a lot easier/cheaper to find upgrades for it than the Eclipse6 tank is.

yay my mom went and paid for the aquapod for me since i was in school at the time that is was supposed to arrive at the LFS and we will be picking it up saturday cause it hadnt arrived at the right time cause the owner of the store was running a little late from picking it up but it is paid for and ready to go

the wait aint bad especially since i got the tank for $150


and can anybody give me any links to info about modding the aquapod

good luck with the new setup. I find the variety in zoanthid color morphs make them rather attractive, getting some unique morphs would be a good choice.

thanks im super excited i cant wait till the morning comes the only PITA is i have to move the 6 from where it is now to the next shelf down on the stand so that when we go pick up the tank tomorrow morning we have somewhere to put it while we set it up
