My Orange Yuma
Well Got my first yuma a couple days ago and its still on a plug fit underneath a overhanging rock somewhat. Will it reproduce faster if I get it off the plug? ive read mushrooms like to travel around.

Well, IME They reproduce on their own, and all at their own speeds. I have 2 yumas, one of which has JUST spawned a baby near its base, and I have had this particular yuma for about a year now....

my green yuma has traveled from the very top of its frag plug, now down towards the bottom of the plug, all the way along the side.

Ive heard you can target feed shrooms, will this really improve the rate of growth?

Don't know about yumas but regular 'shrooms can move to find a more suitable spot. I've had them "crawl" down a rock before. If it detaches completely, keep an eye on it so it doesn't attach somewhere hidden from view.

I target feed orange and green/blue ricordea floridae and it does seem to help IMHO.

For sure, my yuma migrated down its plug. They move just like any shroom/ric does.
I also target feed my rics, BUT out of the 7 different color variations I have, only 2 actually close up and eat, they really love piscine(spelling) mysis shrimp.

I'm glad you like the yuma. Just wait until you graduate to LPS and eventually SPS. Yumas are hardy and fast growers; just like "some" species of zoas. Stronger lighting will help you out and relieve you of any target feeding.

I got a new lighting fixture with a 24W T5 bulb, im getting another in the next couple days and im going to get an actnic bulb for it. My sis upgraded to a new 2 bulb lighting fixture with a t5/ a actnic bulb also. The yuma had about half of its "skirt" pointing up all day today, the half that is not in direct/indirect light. Is this it trying to get more light? Should I move it out into more direct light?

depends. Yumas behave odd for all sorts of reasons. I say that b/c: if there's too much direct water flow in the location the yuma is in, the polyp may be leaning a little due to that. Another could be that its trying to stretch itself in order to gather more light. That too is not unusual.
If you're doing proper periodic water changes (even if you're not monitoring Ca, Alk, Mg or anything aside from pH, temp, NH2/NH3, NO2 and NO3), I wouldn't worry. Yumas are pretty bullet proof.
What I wanted to say is to exercise caution before you and your sister just start buying all sorts of gadgets and hardware. I wouldn't want you both to be led to buying PC (power compacts lighting) under the belief that you're "getting" T-5s. B/c there's a difference.

yup yup were not goin too crazy lol. Only other thing shes put in hers was an eagle eye zoo frag. And I came home a couple days ago and my mom had purchased a new lighting fixture for me, so that was pretty sick. I bought a t5 bulb for it. It has the clamps to go on the side of my tank so it can be positioned over my tank but my tanks too small since its like a 24" fixture and my space from left to right on top is like 18 inches. So I just have it laying on top accross.
Edit: Forgot she bought a protein skimmer since a guy on craigslist was selling it for 40 bucks. She price checked it online I guess and she said it retails for 100+. I told her she didn't need it right now since she only has 2 small clownfish in a 55. But she said she might as well get one for in the longrun. Which I guess makes sense for when she adds more stuff down the road.

I want to take my yuma off of its rubble piece of LR to glue it to one of my big pieces of LR because one of my snails keeps knocking it off... hes a monster of a snail. How should I go about removing it from the rock?

Why not just epoxy the rubble rock with the yuma onto the bigger piece of liverock? It will be easier than getting the mushroom to attach where you want it.
