Mushroom Question

I'm getting ready to upgrade my lighting and I have these mushrooms that have planted on the top of my rock and are going to get fried by this light. I have 70W on a 24, and now I'm upgrading to 380W. I need to know if I can remove the mushrooms so I can place them elsewhere. Thanks.

1) sometimes you can pry off the shroom foot (from the rock), 2) sometimes you have to scrape the piece of rock away (with a razor blade) where the foot is attatched, or 3) just break the rock up until the shrooms are removed.
the first option is a little ify IMO but it can work (i have done it and usually results in a stress split equalling more shrooms), 2 and 3 are a little easier to do but with 3 you end up with a much smaller rock.

or the easiest way would be to acclimate you system to the lights. turn it (the metal halide) on for 30 minutes per day for 1 week, 60 min. for the next, 90 for the next, until you reach the desired on time. this one takes longer, but would probably be the best way to take care of the situation.
