Moving mushroom.
This might be kinda hard to believe .
About 6 months ago I was rearranging rock and lost a small piece of rubble (with a tiny flourescent blue 'shroom attached) behind the rockwork.
He showed up today at the very top of my rock pile.
Has anyone ever had a 'shroom climb up ?
I've had 'em crawl down when I put them too close to the light but I've never seen one do this.

I have had them spread upwards as they were growing, but not just had one appear at the top like that. That would be a cool thing to see though. Are you able to see if there is a whole line of new mushrooms where this one came from?

Did I ever tell you about the time Brasky went hunting? Well anyway, Brasky decides he's gonna hunt down all four members of the Banana Splits. He stalks and kills every one of them with a machete. They all beg for their lives, except Fleagul.

No , the tank is too close to the wall. I've had 'em leave a trail on their way down so maybe I do have a bunch of upwardly mobile 'shrooms on the way.

I had to cut one off the rock yesterday that worked its way up the rock and was starting to sting my blue polyped montipora cap. I keep telling myself I need to remove the shrooms and rics from the 75 but have not brought myself to the point of actually carrying out the deed yet.

I have a purple one that I superglued to a rock yesterday, but then my emerald crab knocked him off lol, I wouldnt believe it if i didnt see it., He went down behind 2 rocks and I can't find him now, should I be worried? or will he show up again? I dont have any big filters/overflow for him to get stuck in.

You might try using a turkey baster or a mini powerhead to see if you can get it out in the open. This blue one's climb up the rock was a first time for me. The ones that fall behind the rockwork usually fade away or attach in the shade and become Morlock mushrooms. (5 points to the first poster who posts the literary source for "Morlock". No cheating with Google. )
Aquawolf: I had to move my Blue Ridge from its place near the ricordea. I fragged it twice and am hoping for a full recovery. Seems I'll have to adjust my plans as to coral placement in the larger tank.
