I don;t mean to be negative, but I can keep quite a few corals in my tank, but I ALWAYS melt the leather corals. They just get a little smaller everyday and then start to fall apart! Kind of like some people can keep xenia and some can't!

The pylops are a great sign! They usually don't put them off unless there happy.

I have a tank full of leathers, and they don't always expand all the way every day. The dirtyer the tank though, usually the more there open I've found.

Do you run carbon?

This was really interesting... I have about 4 red leather mushrooms and 1 big green one and this kind of thing was happening to me not too long ago. I am so glad that I found this post! These are the first shrooms that I've had and I had no idea if they were dying, or if this was "normal", or if I should even try moving them or anything. I feel lots better now knowing that I'm not a murderer.

Mine turns white in blotches when it sheds. It has taken up to 2 weeks for mine to shed. The lights could be affecting it but it should come around before too long either way.
