Pics
Did a search, and definitely not GSP. Took cpl pics, but they are not very good. And also the tiny tentacles/polyps are not out, in fact haven't been out in a cpl days, afraid I might have killed it somehow. But when they were out, they were only like an 1/8th of an in. long, and purpilish color.
So now I not only need an ID, but also if someone knows if it is dead

Kinda looks like a toadstool to me from your description as far as it being dead just leave it alone in your tank for a week or two and see how he looks.
This is a pic and description of a toadstool might not be the same one you have.

yep toadstool. Does it look like it has a shiny coating? If so it is sheading and the polyps wont come back out till its done. Color is good so I don't think it is dead. Give it a couple of days.

>Right now, running a 260W PC 50/50 on a 55G, and for flow using a MJ1200. Will be running a 250W MH soon as the ballast gets here.
Happy to say this morning, it's fully open, and polyps are out

Hey Kelli, I know we chatted one night about my bristleworm. We live so close to each other. Where do you buy your corals?

sometimes they hate the flow on them sometimes they love it. mine is right under the return and loves it.
it should do fine in your tank.

Cool
I will try adjusting the flow around, to see which way it seems the happiest.
One more question: Now that it has shedded, and opened back up, my skunk skrimp has been on it all day, is this normal?? Is he cleaning it???
I know I M worrying too much, but these are my first corals, and I want to know everything. Have done alot of research since it was ID'ed, but no mention of skrimp interaction...
Also looking for another ID, this is a sps, that I got from the same guy, and it looks like it's trying to split (propogation??) If so what do I need to do

hmmmmm can you back away from the tank on the pics a little bit, i think you are getting blurry from the glass.
with the leather, yes it is normal (sometimes) for clown and other fish to try host or sit on them.

Actually...it looks like you have a frogspawn. Research it, they should be easy to take care of. Like lots of flow. Careful though, they pack a punch to other corals.
