Leather Shedding Question

Is it normal for all the leathers in a tank to shed at the same time?

Reason I ask is that all of my leathers have been closed up, more or less, for the last week. I'm checking all of my levels now, but so far the ones I have tested are good except my alk is a bit low (7 dKh). I'll post the rest as soon as I am done.

The leathers in questin here are a large toadstool, a yellow toadstool, a large polyped toadstool and a devils hand.

I do a weekly water change of 20 gallons (yes, RO/DI) on a 125g. No real recent changes. I did replace the MH and Actinic Bulbs about a month ago.

I have a lot of the same leathers. I noticed when my big devils hand sheds the others don't look so good, but never for more than a few days.

I hope that's all it is. My one toadstool is about 15" tall and 12" across when it's open.

Have you done a water change or large top off? Mine shed with every water change or if I top of more than usual.

Just my weekly water changes. It never seems to affect them.

I did do my water change different this past time though. Instead of siphoning from the tank, I emptied the sump and cleaned it out.

It is probably nothing to worry about. I have come to expect that my leathers looked peeved for a few days after my water changes. They always bounce back.
