Hi everyone,

i've this mushroom (i think ricordea) and i'ld like to know his name and how to propagate this beautifull animal.

you can cut it. just make sure each piece has part of the mouth. It will heal quickly.

aquaculter is best done naturally with mushrooms..cutting them can be more trouble than its worth.. & usually frags dont make it..it CAN be done..but mushrooms spread fast anyway.

that bullseye doesnt look too healthy to me. Could it be getting too much light. Does it open more than that? You could spot feed it, but most mushrooms just eat what is in the water column and do great. The only problem I have had with mushrooms is either too much flow or too much light

this picture have been made just the day i've bought it.
The shop had just change all the installation and corals were in a "new" water and where looking really sad when i've bought this one.
it was so "healty" that there were skin's bubbles with emerging intestines on each polypes of Rhodactis.
Now, no more bubbles, it's on the bottom of the tank, more open.

yea its just looking a little '' NEW '' it will expand more..im not going to worry you any, looks healthy to me..my mushrooms shrivel up for days then come back out full for weeks..then repeat..
