host anenome

I was interested in getting a anenome for my tank and I was wondering what was the best one to act as a host anenome for my clowns

I believe different species of clowns like to host more or less to different species of anemones. You may want to post which species of clown you have
bubble tip anemones are pretty popular!

Not for a BTA-they will do fine with good PC lighting, VHO etc...

one of the best things i can suggest;
in parts ( of course)
The lenght of time you tank has been running shoudl be close to 1 year, the over all stability is an important factor for all types.
the type of lighting it will require is important. even if it possible to have it with not so good lighting , it is always better to wait until you can have the better lighting first.
make sure that where you want it does not have the greatest amount of flow to it, most anemones do not like the high flow areas and will flaot /walk around until they find the "right" spot.. this means they will go oer corals and can actually kill them before they find that spot!
one last things ( until i think of more)
just becasue you have a clown or want one does not mean you need an anemone

yes the tank needs to be stable. I had two condys under pc lighting. They were healthy but I didn't realize they could be better. They have doubled in size since putting them in the tank with mh! Only a few months now and the major growth happened within the first week.

If I get MH won't it be too much for the other soft corals in my tank?
