A picture would help.
It might be a flatworm?

I might try coral revive or an iodine based dip, as those can't really hurt. I believe you can send a pic to someone else to post it.

Did I ever tell you about the time Brasky went hunting? Well anyway, Brasky decides he's gonna hunt down all four members of the Banana Splits. He stalks and kills every one of them with a machete. They all beg for their lives, except Fleagul.

It is tissue necrosis. (dying flesh)
Point a power head at it.
Something may have stung it..
Maybe some salt creep fell on it?
I have seen that many times with leathers and they are usually fine after a few days...
Also Leathers shed often and need A LOT of flow to blow off the dead "skin"
How old is your tank?
Can you please describe your set up?

I get yellow spots like that on my toadstool leather. They come and go. My leather doesn't any worse for the wear. I don't have nems in my tank, so I doubt it's from being stung. Unless someone's throwing out some extremely long sweepers at night.
