Could just be in shock... give it a bit and see if it opens

If it starts to come out at all..and you decide to move it..just make sure you let the heads retract before moving it around the tank too much... if you take them out of the water when they are fully out...can cause damage.

It should open up after a day or 2. Mine opened up the following day even though it got beat up a little during shipment.
The guidance I was given said to place it high in the tank. It should have enough flow to give it a little movement.

Don't give up on him yet! My hammer took forever to get used to my tank. Some just take more time than others.

I had a frogspawn that I put too high and my lights cooked it in one day. So I washed off all the mush and thought I would just throw the hard shell back in. Within a month I had two little heads growing off of it. Within six months it was about 3 inches in diameter.

The moral of the story? Don't give up on frogspawn.

they seem to like low flow the best, but do good in higher flow just dont expand as much. just give it some time and hope for the best.
