Question

coral question need help


im having trouble,which corals is what,is hard corals for metal halides and soft corals is for power compact lightening or t5,i have so many people telling me a lot of things,and im all confused was wanting so corals in my tank,and was wondering is a powercompact lightening for a 150 gallon is enough light for them if i stack the rock high enough so the light will reach them fairly well,if anyone could give me so information i would really appreciate it,thanks

I'd go with T-5.You mite get away with CP but the bulbs are more and run hotter.

For soft corals, like those you've mentioned, PC lighting is adequate. But the anemone will probably need more potent lights for long term success regardless of how high in the tank it is. I'd consider a nice T5 fluorescent setup with individual reflectors (which is really important if you go with T5 bulbs). That would be a better solution than standard PC setups, and T5 bulbs tend to last longer.
