Buyer Beware at Coral Fanatics

I just received a shipment of Zoa's from Coral Fanatics. The first time I have ever used them and I am pulling off living Sundial Snails and Nudibranchs.
The woman at Coral Fanatics (Deidra) was prompt in responding to my discovery. She apologized and said they were getting some of their stuff from a new source who may have introduced the pests. She said they were doing Iodine dips for 30 minutes, but either that step was skipped or it was not a strong enough solution. In either case it did not work.

If you order from Coral Fanatics anytime soon, just be sure to quarantine anything before you introduce it to your tank.

Just picked off another Nudibranch off of my Zoa frag from Coral Fanatics.
The frag is as long and as wide as my thumb and the running total is 4 Nudibranch and 1 Nudi egg mass I have yanked off of it.

Here is an update after taking tims advice and staying in touch with Coral Fanatics.

I sent them an email saying my problems with Zoa's are not isolated and they responded back the same day with this response:

I am sorry for all your troubles. Actually you are the only complaint I have had but since I am sure you have noticed no new stock going up on the site. I am doing a full system quarantine. All our bins are getting luglos dips every 3 days and we are in the process of doing an 80% water change. We are completely draining each bin one at a time and letting them dry out as to kill anything that is possibly there not visible to the naked eye. We have set up a new holding system for new stock that is coming as to not put any new stock in with the old. Let me go through your order and see what you spent on the zoanthids and will send you over a refund. I am truly sorry for you hassles as I do know the headache of nudibranchs and do not wish it on anyone. I have learned my lesson of leaving my system unattended for 2 weeks. The vacation was not worth the headache I have come back to. Again I am truly sorry and will get a refund over to you.
Thanks,
Deidra-

WOW - I told Deidra to keep the money and I will use it as store credit when they get their Zoa's back on track. I still think they have the best looking, for the price, zoa's out there and with this customer service I feel that I can go back to them again once they clean up their problem with the Zoa's.

ALWAYS QUARANTINE

SWeet!
i am very happy that you kept up with them!
i woudl suggest in a week or two to send another email asking how there tanks are going and thanking them on not leaving the reefer out to freeze.
most companies will help out as much as they can if they are in it for good.

Giving a refund is incredible customer service, especially for common pests such as the nudis and sundials. I think you would find that 95% or more of companies wouldnt, and you really cant expect them to.

Treating only kills the adults, and not the eggs if talking about aefw' or nudibranch,so you cant expect any retail site not to have some pests slip by as you cant expect retail sites to do full quarantines.

Assume everything is infected always, even if it is coming from the most experienced reefer with the nicest tank you know.
