Welcome to TRT!
My first thought after glancing at your tank specs are what is your nitrate levels at?

Did I ever tell you about the time Brasky went hunting? Well anyway, Brasky decides he's gonna hunt down all four members of the Banana Splits. He stalks and kills every one of them with a machete. They all beg for their lives, except Fleagul.

My next thought is id doesn't look like you have nearly enough light for a nem. How long has the tank been set up and how long has the nem been in there?

tank has been set up for roughly a year and the nem has been in there for about 8 months and only within the past few weeks it has been doing this

link to his tank thread
Well, the tank has matured so that is good. Is this a basically 4 foot long and 12ish by 12ish tank?

Anemones need very strong light and good stable water conditions. BTA are a bit heartier than others but they still are finicky compared to most corals and fish. THe tank is shallow so that helps with lights but I still think you would want either a 150w metal halide or 4 T5HO lights over each side to keep a nem. Anemones have very slow metabolisms and can be under insufficeint lighting for some time before it really affects them. Granted you have had yours a lot longer than I would expect before seeing problems like this.
The other thing is nitrates and phosphates need to be very low. Like under 5 ppm on nitrates and ideally you should not even be able to read phosphates. SOme of these are going to be tied up in the algae problem you have in your other thread, which sounds like cyano with maybe some diatoms mixed in. How often do you change your water and how much?

As in the thread about algae, increased water changes and get your water parameters back in line.

Are you still running marine glow 30 watt bulbs? If you are that will not do for the anemone. I agree you need much better lighting. Anemone's require strong lighting otherwise they will bleach and slowly die. How often and what are you feeding it?

I agree, you definitely need more light for a creature like that. I'd recommend that as a first measure.

water parameters that you need to know are at least: Nitrate, phosphate, KH (carbonate hardness) and calcium. If you don't have a test kit find a LFS that uses a test kit with liquid reagents and not a strip that is dipped. You should also be able to measure your salinity or specific gravity and have a thermometer to measure temp. THere really needs to be at least 4 bulbs with your t5 on each side of your tank to keep a nem. They require a lot of light I'm afrraid.
