Blenny vs. Leather Coral

A couple of days ago I got my first leather coral. I took it home and found it a nice spot in my tank and after a few hours his polyps were extended and seemed very happy! Until my lawnmower blenny found him. It seems like accidental pestering..just a bump here and there. But when he does bump him, the coral's polyps suck in and it goes into "hiding mode" I guess you would say. Eventually they come back out, but after a few minutes it gets bumped again and the polyps disappear. Any suggestions on something I could do? Or should I just let it be? My blenny is not harming the coral from what i can tell, I would just like to enjoy the polyps!

Thanks!

Try to figure out what it is in that part of the tank that the LB is attracted to and unless its the leather, move it. It may just be the LB being "curious" about the new inhabitant.

I think he was just curious. Of course, as soon as i posted that he hasn't touched the coral since! If it continues I'll try moving it and see what happens.

My bicolor perches on several of my corals. They seem unaffected by it. they retract their polyps and he moves on. I doubt it is going to be a big deal a week from now.

I doubt the blenny will hurt it. The coral may even get used to him doing it and stay open. Just let em be for now.

Well, Jena was right. I have seen the coral get bumped a few times since I last posted, and the polyps have stayed out. I'm fairly new to this game, so every little thing gets me thinking!

Thanks to all for the input!
