Anthelia polyps

I believe they're the "waving hand" variety. Any tips. I understand that they don't ship well and may take some time to recover. I originally placed them low with minimum water movement (20 high with 130 watts of PC) and they just laid there. I moved them to about 8" from the lights with a medium flow and the location gets hit by a mini-pump about every 5 minutes.

They appear to be getting shorter and more full-looking. Am I doing ok with 'em?

this type of CLove( Clavularia) polyp as you know is a very hardy one. it can take just about any type of flow ( not directly on them) and most lighting.
the "bulking" up you see is usually a good sign. ..
but... you say there is also a Anthelia Spp ..
the only real different between the two is the A.spp lowers itself and cannot close it self like the Clavularia.

Found the rock on the bottom of the tank this morning with one polyp left on. He does look fat and happy, though. I have no idea where the other 5 went so I've turned the skimmer up.

*sigh*

I had about a 8" rock of Anthelia, it was beautiful, Then I introduced a yellow tang! He ate every bit of it.

I got y'all beat.

This past July I decided to move my 20 high reef (wall-to-wall polyps and shrooms). While doing so I lifted a large base rock out of the sand bed.

Ever see 10 years' worth of growth dissolve before your eyes?
