Advice on my GSP vs Clove Polyp problem please

I've got some really fast growing Green Star Polyps that have been creeping toward my Clove Polyps for a while now. I've been wondering what would happen when they met and was surprised to see the GSP grow right around one of the Clove Polyps which seems to be unaffected for now. Will this eventually turn bad for the Clove Polyps & should I try to remove/relocate them before the GSP reaches the rest? Although not new to saltwater fish, I'm fairly new to keeping corals so I haven't encountered this dilemma in the past. Thanks for your opinions and advice. (don't mind the bristle worm who snuck in to the pic.)

The Gsp will choke out the clove polyps. Either trim back the mat of GSP or move the cloves.

i always recommend isolating BOTH of the corals that you have. the GSP will choke out almost ANY other coral in its path. and the clove polyps will take over every rock in your tank eventually. the only ways to keep them at bay is to isolate them or keep trimming them back. if you decide to to keep trimming them, you will be doing a LOT of trimming. HTH

BTW ... i have had it destroy and Acropora colony !!

The purple mat that the GSP puts down will smother EVERYTHING! The CLOVE! GEEZ! I have it in my tank and I do weekly water changes and weed eat the clove polyp down! Its a pest! Once it takes off, fire doesn't spread as fast!

The GSP has since smothered the one clove polyp in the pic above and is advancing on the others. I'll have to move the cloves to a safer location. Thanks for all of your input everyone. Quite helpful.

You can peel back the GSP and cut it.
