or they will just kinda ooze around the rock work and grow... I have one with like 5 mouths, but it has yet to pinch itself off and split.

Yes, we've had an orange ric with 4 mouths. It's been that way for about 5 months now, but has never split. We keep hoping it will.

You could use a razor blade to frag it, but I rather let nature take it's course.

im not sure.ive had rics under just about any kind of light..i had one in my 180g with mh's and now this one in my 10g with 108watts of compacts i beilve my lights are..its a pony system lighting..my plans are to cover this 10g with all kinds of rics  ..they only bad thing is they dont spread as faST as some of my other mushrooms...might be kinda good in a way,they will never take over your tank
