What to do....?

I want to get a clownfish pair(false perc) this fall for my 14 gallon biocube. I am debating between a bubble tipped anemone, frogspawn, or a torch coral, as Ive heard clownfish host in all of those. Which one would be best for my tank, I dont want to do any lighting upgrades.
Thanks!

You can never be sure the clown will use it.What lighting do you have?

Knowing what light you have now will surely help in providing recommendations. The size tank you have makes it challenging to keep any anemone, so some other host may be more appropriate in that regard, but clowns hosting LPS corals often results in injury to one or both parties. Honestly, you may be asking for more than is capable (or at least commonly comfortable) in your current size setup.

If it's any help to you clowns don't need a host to be happy. They will find a place to hang out and call their own.

I just have the lights the biocube came with...I think it would be cool to have something for them to "play" in

if you only have the PC lights you need to stick with lower light corals and 14 gallons is on the small side to get something large enough for them to "play" in.
Maybe some mushrooms?

Since you have the stock lights, an anemone probably wouldn't be the best, since it requires very intense lighting. I think you could get away with a torch or a frogspawn. Then again the clown may not even host those, it really just depends on the clown.

I read in a book that clowns will sometimes use rhicordia mushrooms as a surrogate. This coral would be great for your nano (I have a 14 BC as well).
