What is this ???
This was on my live rock that originates from the Caribbean.
It started out as a skeleton and transformed into the photo shown.
I don't want to get rid of it. it has come back from the dead and is now 4x its original size and still growing!
It grabs food with the tenticles and puts it into one of it's three mouths.
Originally it only had one mouth.
Please help me identify what this is.
Thanks,
dtssyst
My tank stats are in the stats section listed as "my 75 gallon reef tank".
I only have a few post so I can not post a link.

It does seem to do better near the bottom with low to medium light and a moderate to high flow.

 Welcome to TRT!!!
I am not sure what it is, almost looks like an anemone but should not have 3 mouths and I would expect it to like more light.
Hopefully someone else will chime in with some ideas soon.

The skeleton...
A really bad drawing from above.
There are more 'bones' than drawn. Hopefully this bad drawing will give someone the idea of what is inside of the thing.

aquawolf,
I also have a mushroom that looks very similar to your avitar.
What is it called?
It also came with a piece of live rock that has at least triple in size since we got it. Did not know it was there until it moved an arm.
If you look at my picures of the tank in the tank specs section, it is located on the bottom right corner.

That, my friend, is not a mushroom but my Phymanthus Anemone. It is also called a Caribbean Sand Anemone, but mine has been nicknamed The Kracken.
Here are some more pictures of it:
If you do have one of these then I would really like to see a close up picture of it, as apparently it is not a very common thing to find in the hobby.

A better Pic than the one I just tried to do...
Someone decided to toss some sand on him before bed.
That was nice of them ;-)

I think yours might be a rock/flower anemone.

I would agree with flower anemone. Internet searches shows very similar animals.
Thanks for the help on him.
However, I still need help on the first one.

My guess would be that it is a torch coral, meandroid (wall like, linear corallites) form.

Right now it is every bit of 7-8 inches across. So it has gotten fairly large and I am not sure it has reached full size yet.
