just an update. Heres the elegance just as the lights turned on. It did end up getting sick and as you can tell it is still not in the best of shape as when I first got it. You can see the start of its decline in the last picture I posted in this thread. I would have posted pics of it being sick but I was just upset about the whole thing. Just didnt want to take a picture of it while its spitting out its tissue and zooxanathallea and was blown up like a balloon. Not to mention it was all slimey. I did have to move it out of the tupperware dish I had it in since it was outgrowing it the last week or so. It was quite the battle getting this thing back to health. I ended up losing a clam because of all the messing around I did with the lighting schedule to try and get this thing back to health. So even though fromthe begining I tried to limit the amount of light it received the halides were just too much. So maybe this wasn an Aussie elegance after all. Kind of makes me mad a little thinking I bought an Aussie and it gets sick as an Indo.

Well now that the elegance has beena live for 5 months now I feel that it is gonna thrive and just keep getting better and better. So now I took the next step into my elegance adventure. I bought me a true aussie elegance. Here it is in all its beauty. 1 hour after being acclimated. It is insane how different it is. It loves light.

Very nice, but as you probably have found out, these are one of the most agressive corals out there. They sting, or should I say, the one I had was vicious and I ended up selling it back to the LFS. They are perty though.

Is this coral in the same system with the other one?

Yessir, I really felt the old elegance was another victim of over exposure to lighting. I just think I postponed the overload of oxygen by limiting the light right off the bat but in the end it still succumbed. To this day I have to still keep it in the corner of the tank because there are brown voids in towards the center of the coral from spewing its zooxanathallea(spelling? lol). So until these spots fill in more I dont want to risk any relapse. I just felt that if it was a different cause it would have acted differently.
