War Coral And Dragon Soul Favia??

Just got these frags today by trading 6 Zoa frags. Got a helluva deal $80 for 6 Frags with atleast 20 heads on 2 frags and about 10 on 2 frags and 6 on the other 2. Just wanted to see what you guys think these are. They say War Coral and Dragon Soul Favia.......

Whatever they are how do i care for them as in placement, feeding, water movement, etc. Does the favia release its tentacles at night like the war coral??

low light, infrequent feedings are fine (though unnecessary), and relatively light flow. I have both of those pieces, and while beautiful corals, the names are pretty generic. I'd say you've named them correctly. Here are the two that I've got.



They will both have feeding tentacles at night after they acclimate to the tank (if not already... sometimes it takes a couple weeks or more).

i recently got a frag of the dragon's sould/prism favia, too. nice score!

Those are NICE.. I know the Dragon Souls are low light but i hear that the War Coral needs medium to high lighting... Is this true???

Mine is at the very bottom of my tank with good shading, and it seems to be doing well.

I have been debating weather or not these are war corals (recent aquasitions)

FWIW I only paid $25 each.... I'm thinking there either war coral or prisim favia...

i think it is favia pentagonia (war coral) if your referring to the blueish/purple and green.
