sps, or lps?

I'm not planning on getting any. I always see conflicting answers on hydnophora. Some say LPS, some say SPS. Which is it?

SPS, but they sting like LPS. they are kinda an in-between coral but the skeleton is more sps than anything.

Okay, thanks. I've seen them in both categories in online stores(even one place that said "though generally refered to as a sps, they're actually lps!" so I figured I'd ask. As I mentioned, I'm not planning on getting any, but it's always nice to know

Another ID question: pipe organ corals. some places say polyp(as in snake, zoo, anthellia ) some say LPS(at least I'm pretty sure I've seen a place that had it as a LPS), others say SPS. Hm.

Pipes are complicated but i consider them LPS myself because they are primarily filter feeding critters. let see what the others say.
