like where? could you specify some of the care requirements? i cant just move it anywhere. how far from light, flow, how far from other corals etc.. this is my my first lps. i dont wanna epoxy it till i have an idea as to where it should go. pics should be up tonight.
and update: since i still dont know where to put it i just left the halide above it off for today but with the light from the other side of the tank it seems to be opening more. can hardly see skeleton, so i take it its settling in.

If you have 400w Halides...low will be best then you can slowly bring it up to where you want it! It will do fine about anywhere under those lights. Be sure the tentacles are gently flowing in the water and not being blasted as well!

kinda off topic but what should my light cycle be? i had it on for like 8 hours and my lfs says this will cause algae but i only get a very thin film on the glass every four or five days which i magnet off and my fuge has some growth of like green bryopsis i think it is.i want it on long as possible because id like to see it.
and i have the torch blowing around kinda hard but it seems to like it it was closed up in a flow where it was gently flowingit seems to move gently then pretty hard because my wavemaker is on 10 min intervals( si this ok?

somewhere from 7-9 hours for halides and 10-12 hours for VHO/PC is about the normal average around here.

I have my VHO's on for ~11hrs and my MH's for about 8 hours. All is well.

If the coral is opening good then he is happy, they like to be gently swaying in the current, not blasted to a side!
