New to brains, where and how

Saturday I bought 4 open brains on sale, damaged, and placed them into 90g tank with 2x55W 50-50 lighting (can double this instantly, but fish don't likes intensity - this is the problem too), in relatively low flow area.
Tuesday tried to feed by chopped seafood, placed where I suspected the mouthes are - not much success, even with flow turned off for 1 hr (evening, lights on). Pictures are below.

I also don't like putting the whole arm in the tank several times - it's not the best for a fish health. How are you feeding (devices, I mean, if brains are at the middle or a bottom of the 20" deep tank)?
I was advised to feed more than 1 hr after lights are off - can't imagine how to see anything then, especially manipulating deep in the tank

Today moved all brains in the basket at the top (11" from brain to light bulb - 55W, 21" long PC). Is it too much or too little light? How low may I suspend lamp without hurting brains? Also, this tank has flow everywhere - basket has relatively low flow - feeding tentacles of Sholymia are sometimes slightly moving. Is it too much or too low flow?

Today tried to feed them in the basket during daytime with lights and flow off, using frozen mysis - only yellow one ate. 30 min later removed mysis by turkey baster, turned on light and flow - and Sholymia started sending feeding tentacles. Turned flow off again for 30 min, tried to feed - mouth didn't opened.

What else can I do? BTW, it seems to me that 30 min off is not good for the bacteria in canister filter (I know about nitrate factory) .
Advice? Thanks.

Low to medium light and flow works best for me. Mine is identical to the neon green brain that you posted.

From the pictures it looks like they are doing fine. I would stop feeding for now and just let them live off the light. they can be tricky but i would just leave them where they are for now and just watch them. start feeding in a month or so and look into getting a turkey baster for that. keep us informed. they may prefer less light and more flow if they don't open up more.
