its a open brain-trachyphyllia of some kind i think

it doesnt look happy. it should puff up to 4 times that size at parts fo the day, and even when it isnt puffed up the flesh shouldnt be hugging the skeleton like that. I dont see any skeleton showing so thats good......but I would suggest trying to feed it at night when its feeders come out.

Is it showing its feeders at night??

Like Fly said its a bit retracted and maybe a bit light in color(hard to tell in the pic) but not bleached. Definately not in real bad shape but feeding is a good idea. depending on your lights I might shade it a bit.

feeding

Ihave some brain corals and I notice thier feeders coming out during water changes. I started taking the juice form some thawed mysis in a turkey baster and sqeezing it over the top of the brain and my sun corals and this started a feeding response. They open ready to feed every day about 10:30 AM I only feed the mysis to them every other day but it alot nicer to see them during the day

i agree also that it doesnt look happy, they dont like direct lighting especially mh 250 or higher in the 10k range if u just got it u would have to acclimate it to the intense lighting and by the looks of the pic it looks like it under a bit of a strong light. i would shade it and spot feed it some lance fish or mysis etc.
