I lost my head!
Well Im fine, but my torch isn't doing so well. The polyp began to recede, so I tried to re position it to get better light and feed it, but it only got worse. I have been reading that I my need to frag off the dead portion, but the heads are too close together to only remove one. Do I need to frag off the dead head and the live one it is attached to?

why did your frag die? If you found out why it died and addressed it the torch should be fine. Each head is different and when I bought mine one head was dead and the rest did fine.

How warm is your tank? What is your SG and other levels? When was your last water change? I've had a similar problem before with LPS heads leaving the skeleton, it may be from a lack of strontium, which is replenished with regular water changes.

The rest of the heads should be fine as long as you didn't notice any brown jelly like stuff. (that will spread and kill other heads) When I got my Torch I lost 2 heads but the rest are doing great I would just leave the Dead Head alone and not stress the coral anymore
