Help with elagance coral

Hi everyone long time reader first time poster of these forums. I bought a elegance coral about 2 months ago and all has been well. In the last two days he has shriveled up and there appears to be a coat of some sort of clear slime over the polyps. It will struggle all day to open up and the shrivel back up as soon as all lights go out. I have a bunch of pics if that will help just not sure how to post them on this site. All water parameters are normal and everything else is thriving in the tank doing great. Any help with this problem would be much appreciated as I don't have a clue what to do and my LFS has no clue about corals either. Thanks so much Cory.

There is a way to post pics through the attachment function. I'm not sure how it works though. Hopefully someone can help with that.

What you describe sounds normal for an Indonesian elegance. If you lose this one, please don't buy any more elegance from Indodesia. Make sure what you buy comes from Australia.

Click the Go Advanced button on the reply window or quote a post. The windows are the same after that.

Scroll down the page to the button labelled "Manage Attachments" and folld the prompts.

Be aware that the limitations on attachments is a lot stricter than the TRT photo galleries.

http://i526.photobucket.com/albums/c...blems001-1.jpg

Water parameters Are as follows
temp 78 to 79.5
Specific Gravity 1.024
PH 8.1 to 8.3
Nitrate 2
phosphate nd
alkalinity 8dKH.
calcium 350 to 400

Thanks for the help let me know if ya need any more info.

Sense reading about all the posts I could find on the site about elegance problems. I have moved it to a low light low flow area of the tank. As that seams to be the best thing you can do for them when there are noting good from what I have gathered is this correct?

What kind of flow do you have it in? have you tried to change spots in the tank? Also, have you been feeding it?
