Ok this is probably my favorite coral and it just kills me to see it like this. The water tested as follows: Rate: 10ppm, Rite 0, ammonia 0, Ca 430, alk 10dKH, phosphates >.05. pH 8.2. So its not the water. The only thing that I can think of is that I just did a major light upgrade. (2x24" T5 to 4X36" T5 retro, however only running two of the 4 bulbs so it wasn't whoa shock, and this was monday that I swaped out.) But everything else looks great. I havn't seen any thing bugging it either.

The tentacles around the edge have a black ring around them that is at least 1/8 diameter of the tentacle and they just flap in the current. It is almost like they want to fall off but have just enough flesh to hold on. It looks to me like necrosis, but I have never seen it and that is the best pic I can get with my camera.
