Sounds like it might be getting too much light.

Pics? Tank specs?

My plate is under 500 watt mh. It is somewhat shadowed and doing great. Man this thing eats! If food gets anywhere near the tenticles it pulls it in. I sat there and watched it pull in two whole krill and a small piece of shrimp within 10 minutes. I was sure it would spit some out but didnt. Anyway my point is are you feeding it? Seems to make a big difference.

Vince hit it on the head... too much light. I moved it into a little bit of shadow from some live rocks and he's doing fine now. Thanks everyone. You guys and girls are the bestest!!

groovy stuff. it amazes me how moving a coral into a dark corner can make it grow like crazy.
