Got some nice Aussie Duncans this weekend...

I do weekly water change with RO saltwater from the local fish store. Yeah my levels all seem good. I don't buffer. I don't have all of the test kits you mentioned but I do testing with a paper strip test with the following results. All of my other corals look good.

Nitrate 10
nitrite 0
alkalnity 300
pH 8.2
Ammonia 0

Tank: 8 gallon Biocube setup since May 2009
In the tank I have these corals.

Hammerhead
Green and Blue Ricordea
Birdsnest
Mushroom
zoanthid
Green Star Polyp

And these critters

Camel Shrimp
Pom Pom Crab

If the hammer is doing well, it's reasonable to assume your duncan will eventually warm up to the tank.
