di you have a picture? most favias grow pretty slow because they have a much bigger skeleton to build. you can expedite the growth of it if you set it next to an existing sold base to grow along.

moonstone are medium to high light. LFS has one under MH at the top ifof a reef tank now. They work with t5's that I have seen. Growth rate is moderate from what I have seen as well. Very nice coral though.

I got a 2' square (cut with a tile saw) on Ebay about 2 months ago and it is starting to grow around the cut edged but just barely. I also got a full one a few weeks ago that I have already seen threee heads split on it but cant really tell if its getting bigger. Right now it;s the size of a grapefruit.

Mines grown about 1" in the year that I've had it. T5 lights pretty far down w/moderate flow.

It will depend on the water parameters (temp, Ca, alk, Mg), whether it is fed, location in the tank, and the lighting. I have seen some grow quickly depending on spp. and good conditions, others waste away in poor systems to nothing... Soooo, I guess it will depend.

Mine is growing onto the rocks that the original moonstone is sitting on.
