do LPS have to be fed?

i currently have a bare bottom 10g cycling with 16 lbs of live rock.
i have a few ideas for this tank, coral wise, one thing is for certain, it will NOT contain fish or any clean up crew, since after all what will there be to clean up if im not adding fish food? algae i can scrape myself, the snails never do a great job of that anyway.
im thinking of going mostly LPS, with a few shrooms and zoa colonies, but mainly LPS (blastos, brains, acans, possible frogspawn etc)

so now im wondering, i would rather not to feed because i feel it would foul the tank the same way a fish would, so if im gonna feed corals i might as well add a fish, then inverts, and well then my whole plan is foiled lol

so, do i absolutely 100% have to feed LPS corals? particullary the ones i listed

Well what kind of lighting? Good lighting and feeding isn't necessary. Now it wouldn't hurt to feed once a week or even every other week. That is if you can get them to eat. My brain and bubble are easy. The frogspawn, torch, hammer, and favia's just never seem to eat when I spot feed them. They seem to be growing fine but the ones that do eat for me, grow 4 times faster than the ones that wont.

I use to feed.... Don't anymore unless the coral is unhealthy when I get it. Feeding just contaminates the water IMHO.

But keep in mind there are some LPS that HAVE to be fed (not photosynthetic) like the sun coral.

the lighting is just a power compact, but the tank is so shallow so it seems extremely bright, 2x40 watts

do you think the tank would be too sterile if i dont feed? or is that a good thing?

lps seem to like a little "dirty" water. I would use your judgement and if they seem a little unhappy, feed em.

You could always feed just before your WC?
Also if you target feed you wont have too much excess setteling.
I use to feed mysis with tweezers, on my trumpet I would give each head a peice. In a 10g this would be real eazy
