Blasto Coral Fraggin Procedure

***disclaimer****
I am by no means a fraggin' pro! So take these as general instructions. However, I had great luck w/ the following tools and procedures, and nobody including my self was hurt and all corals are doing great!

Tools: Bucket w/ some tank water, dremel w/ 3" cutoff wheel, screwdriver, and a Blasto coral !

The Blasto coral breing fragged started out as a mid sized (a little larger than a golf ball) w/ about 40 heads all around it!

I removed him from the tank and gave him abut a minute to close up all his heads! During this minute I finalized the frag layout. I made a cut almost all the way through as seen in the picture. I figured I leave just a little to crack it off rather cut all the way through to chance it falling or shoting somewhere from the cut off disc!

I gave him a light dunk and swosh just before breaking into two piece and adding him to the tank. The swoosh helps remove the slime and dust debris!

The frag is doing great and the mother is filling in nicely where the frag was removed. Look up a few post at the piture of the bare underside after the frag. Now look at it!

Nice work....
The reef club Im in just had Anthony Calfo give a fragging demo and lecture and it was a great time.
Its amazing how easy it really is to frag corals. He was cutting up everything.. Even cut a BTA in half..

Yup it is scary the first time, after that.....cut cut cut!

I ended up fragging about 5 different corals that day and all were fine! Plus my first ever attempts!
