How long ago did you get them? It doesn't look good.
I try to not move them and let them adapt to the tank untouched for several weeks. The stress of being new in your tank is much more than the stress of not being in an "optimal" location in that new tank. They need to acclimate to the tank first and foremost. This takes time, although I think the odds are against them if they recede that soon.
I always start new corals low in an area of good (indirect) flow if I don't know what conditions they came from. I let them sit there until I see new growth at the base and then move them to their final location. If I know where they came from light and current-wise, I put them in a similar area.
One thing you
could try if you notice more slow recession is to add a bunch of superglue to the receding area. Cover it right up to the start of living tissue. Then tip the frag horizontally and mount it that way, heathy side up. If they aren't receding anymore, I'd leave them alone for awhile.
