tdwyatt question

I read a response you gave to Hoang on newly placed frags. In your response you stated to "place new frags horizontally with bottom of specimen suspended over open water..." . So of course, I got a question! Do you glue down the middle of the frag to rock? Will this kill the underside of the frag, being that now it will not be exposed to light? I'm not sure I understand how this is done...

ok im not Tom but this is what I do, I glue frags down horizontaly so they will start to grow upwards and branch out like this one is in the pic, it has already encrusted nicely downward and is branching upwards now.

Wow! So the broken open end that was cut off the mother/father colony is where the branches started? I've been doing this all wrong! Thanks for the response, Casey.

There really isnt a wrong way,I just didnt want a stick going straight up so
by mounting them this way it will branch out all over in a couple of months it should be covered all over with new sprouts coming up.thanks
