stag question

I have an A. florida stag and the tips are white.
Polyps are out at night...even on tips and barley visable during lighting period, it is in a high flow high light, b/c that's what i've read they like.

this is my first time with SPS, so a rock fell on it one day, it broke away from it's base...i used aquamend to fix it back to a rock.
It's been handled a few times...

Just street that's got the tips white, or do you think i should lower it in the tank and decrease the flow around it?

I'm going to start taking pic's to see if it gets worse.
My other SPS looks good....full PE.
My ALk was at 12 too. now down to 10.6 and shooting for around 9.
Alk burn?

got a pic??

12 shouldnt cause alk burn unless possibly if you usually kept it at 8 and moved it to 12 quickly.

If its just the tips and the rest of the coral doesnt look at least slightly bleached anywhere I would rule out too much light as well.

It very well could be growth, although Im not familiar with a. florida slimers, my yongeis dont show that white tip when growing fast like osme corals do........

pix, please.

Most stony acroporids have white tips when normal growth and development is occurring, as it takes a while for protective pigments and zooxanthella to catch up with the rapid growth that occurs at the axial tips.

Unless this is something unusual, I don't think you have issues, but photographs will help us make some type of decision.
