Whew! I was worried there for a few minutes. That mean you might be able to find me a "inside out aunt jemima waffle montipora"?

This thread got headed the wrong way and I hope its turned around for the better now as there seems to be a lot of good information here if the arguing stops.

I have it and will send you a decent frag of the Superman and Idaho grape as well (even though it's a tad Brown... still trying to recover from a bleaching incident

I can do the package for $125 shipped... just let me know...

Frank, I knew that that one mine But I can also agree on getting that Carpet... I have no issues waiting for frags I want ... BTW I still have your 3 over here as well... Although you like probably go home with a larger frag of Confusa than originally cut... I have to frag this thing back to get it to encrust more and not plate so soon.

Glad to see that things are smoothing out now.

Tony, if you are "forced" to cut the confusa I would be more than happy to make room for a piece of it.

Frank, who is this friend in Georgia that you speak of that cannot give the Pokerstar away? I will take some off his hands as well. Also, are you still planning on coming to the CMAC meeting at my house next Saturday?

i find this all so humorous. i have been doing this for quite a while and work in the industry.

tyree and other le corals are very nice. but i am telling you they are the same corals that hit our shores every week. all this fancy-schmancy boutique lineage bullcrap is just that - bullcrap. the corals came from the ocean and there are many colonies of the same stuff. especially sps.

ole steve's collection is quite the collection. ...and to say you have some fragments of "his" personal corals i suppose is extremely cool to those who like the celebrity-esque hype of whipping out receipts. to others the value is in having someone like steve sort through loads of corals to find the best looking ones, grow them out, harvest them, and ship them on a limited schedule. there is certainly value in that!

but to say someone's superman "isn't" a superman because it didn't come from tyree's tank is ludicrous!

i kid you not - many pieces of that same coral are maricultured and shipped in all_the_time. same with poker stars, purple haze, rainbow, etc, etc, etc. call them "fake" if you want - they ARE the same coral. give them some time in a stable established system and i challenge any internet forum monti "expert" to tell the difference.

nice corals are nice corals are nice corals.

*edit - but the op's coral is not a reverse sunset.

Benny... again, another person that has missed the entire point... I'm not going back through this again. People pay for the lineage for one reason...the lineage. Just because a coral may look the same does not make it the same. the Tyree stuff is known to hold it's color in pretty much all situations (well except in my case with a bleaching incident) Lineage is what makes it different than the rest of the corals pulled out of the Ocean. I have had multiple "Superman's" in my tank, All of which looked like the real deal, but would not color up like the real deal, and wouldn't stay that way. I know what is coming in... I'm in the business as well. (in a much different way than you are )

Randy,

I've been secretly working on the aunt jemima growth pattern myself. If I can only figure out how to transfer it to the rockwork and keep the same look.

That is really cool Jadinop! And to think, my wife tells me I need to frag zoanthids before they start growing on the eggcrate.
