How far from the out of a MJ 900 does an acro need to be?

I wouldn't worry about a MJ 900. They are only 230 gph. I have acros that are about 10" in front of a Tunze 6100 getting 3000 gph right at it and is growing fine.

the Tunze and the PH are different velocities. i would be very carefull about putting any coral directly downstream from a PH, even if it is only 230gph.

put your hand in front of the nozzle and move it away from the PH untill it seems like a strong flow, but not something that might rip flesh off of a coal. 10" may be a good place to start.

That's true Geoff, I didn't think about the diameter of water stream and velocity of the water coming out of the nozzle. I was just thinking the amout of water being moved.
